Notes: Sanskrit equivalent: samādhi, Pali: samādhi, Japanese: sanmai, Tibetan: ting nge 'dzin; a higher level of concentrated meditation. According to the Tiantai School, there are four kinds of samadhi: 1. constant sitting samadhi 常坐三昧; 2. constant walking samadhi 常行三昧; 3. half walking, half sitting samadhi 半行半坐三昧; 4. non-walking, non-sitting samadhi 非行非坐三昧 (BL 'samādhi', p. 743; FGDB '三昧'; Powers 2007, p. 69; SH '三昧', p. 67; Tzu Chuang 2012, pp. 290-294)
